If you happen to visit the Beaverbrook Art Gallery in downtown Fredericton, be sure to watch where you’re stepping as there may be people underfoot! Don’t be alarmed if you see people lying on the floor; one of the most famous works of art in the gallery is a huge painting by Salvador Dali called Santiago El Grande. It depicts Saint James the Greater rising from the sea astride a white stallion, and it’s said that if you lie down and look up at it from below, there is a 3D effect whereby the horse seems to be jumping out of the canvas. You don’t even need special glasses to enjoy the effect!
