BMW OFFICIALLY BRINGING BACK THE 8 SERIES

True to the rumours, BMW is set to revive the 8 Series. At this month’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, BMW will unveil a concept version of the 8 Series. All we have is a sketch. Details are tough to pick out, but you wouldn’t be alone if you thought the side profile has a bit of Aston Martin flavour to it. “The BMW 8 Series coupe will build on our tradition of luxurious sports coupes and add a genuine dream car to our lineup — a slice of pure automotive fascination,” BMW management board chairman Harald Krüger said in a news release. The 8 Series has big shoes to fill. The original 8 Series, introduced in 1989 and in production for a decade, captured the hearts and minds of countless enthusiasts.
