‘Stunt’ driver trav­el­ling 175 km/h

A Pem­broke man is go­ing to be walk­ing for a while af­ter he was charged Sun­day with driv­ing at al­most twice the posted speed limit on high­way 17 in Calvin Town­ship.

On­tario Pro­vin­cial Po­lice saw a ve­hi­cle trav­el­ling at high speed. Radar con­firmed the ve­hi­cle was go­ing 175 in a 90 km/h zone.

Izaiic Telford-behm, 20, is charged with stunt driv­ing and hav­ing a blood-al­co­hol level above zero while a novice driver.

Telford-behm was is­sued a three-day li­cence sus­pen­sion for his blood al­co­hol con­tent in the warn range and an­other seven-day sus­pen­sion for stunt driv­ing. his ve­hi­cle was im­pounded for seven days.

Po­lice also tick­eted Telford-behm Nov. 1 at the same lo­ca­tion for speed­ing.
