Shirlene Condie-mcveigh, left, president elect of the Pro-cathedral of the Assumption Catholic Women’s League of Canada, presents $400 cheques to Amelia Pierce and Marie Duffy, this year’s CWL bursary student recipients at the Thanksgiving mass. Pierce attends Wilfrid Laurier University in a four-year bachelor of arts criminology program with a combined law degree at Sussex University, United Kingdom. Duffy is working toward a four-year bachelor of architecture through the Mcewan School of Architecture at Laurentian University in Sudbury. Upon completion of her undergraduate studies, she will work toward a master’s in architecture.
