Plans to be unveiled for International Plowing Match
Event promises to attract 80,000 people to Verner over five days
Organizers of the 2019 International Plowing Match and rural expo (IPM) in Verner are hosting a community open house thursday.
billed as the largest agricultural event in North america, the IPM attracts approximately 80,000 people over five days, representing an estimated $20 million in economic spinoffs for the host community.
West Nipissing is host for the 102nd IPM, in Verner Sept. 17-21.
anyone interested in getting involved is encouraged to attend the open house, from 6-9 pm at the Sturgeon Falls recreation complex – Marcel Noel hall.
Following a brief presentation, participants will be invited to visit various kiosks where they can learn about the activities planned for the 2019 IPM.

this unique tourism experience is hosted on prime agricultural land, located in different parts of Ontario each year.
the 2019 IPM will be only the second time in the event’s history to take place in Northern Ontario. With more than 500 exhibitors and food vendors, various activities, entertainment and interactive educational opportunities, it promises an abundance of activities for all ages to enjoy.
