SCHULTZ & CHOI’S FAVOURITE THINGS TO DO IN TORONTO
CHOI: DUFFERIN GROVE PARK
I have two young kids, and I love the playgrounds and parks. There are Friday night community dinners, and there’s a huge dirt pit with shovels. Kids come and start digging a hole. Next day another kid comes, fills that hole.
SCHULTZ: KENSINGTON MARKET
Right now it’s at the tipping point. I hope it doesn’t go over. It’s still bohemian, and you can run into all types, but there is a food moment in Kensington. There are great fish stores, the best butcher in Sanagan’s, spices. It is fantastic for foodies right now.
CHOI: KOREATOWN
Both north and south, North York and Bloor and Christie: the variety of food. The restaurants are getting more specific, and it’s more competitive now, so that one dish is getting better and better.
SCHULTZ: THE ISLANDS
I love them. Last year, we rented a boat, and he gave us a tour of the back channels, and it is so beautiful. You don’t see anybody. I’m a birdwatcher, and it’s great for that.
