Alfredo Rodriguez has been in the restaurant business since he was 13. Food, wine & entertaining are second nature. Starting in Mexico, he has worked in several restaurants including Spain & Canada. At the age of 17, Alfredo knew his dream was to open up his own establishment. 14 years later, his dream came to life with BLU Ristorante. Italian inspired with a modern twist, BLU’s menu is carefully selected by Alfredo, his chef and team. Together, they have been able to acheive an upscale Italian Kitchen that is to be rooted in tradition but still very representative of what modern Italian dining is now. Along with the core menu items like Tuna Tartar, Veal Saltimbocca and Chilean Seabass, new dishes are introduced seasonally to bring a fresh palette to their seasoned customers as well as the new. Going into their 9th year, Blu’s décor is modern, elegant & romantic. It is reminiscent of being in a European Castle. Alfredo’s key to success is his ability to genuinely care for his customer, treating them as he would treat his close friends & family when hosting a dinner at home. “Although I don’t work with family, my colleagues & customers have become like family, because we all share the same passion for food & wine,” he says.
