Giddy up, boys and girls
Grab your bikes and helmets, gather your friends and take part in the annual RCMP bike rodeo in St. Anthony this week.
The local detachment and the Family Resource Centre will host the event, which has become tradition in the town, Thursday.
What has been seen as a great opportunity to demonstrate bike safety to the RCMP has become a fun and challenging activity for those involved.
And with some big prizes, including helmets and even a bike, anyone that wants to practice bike safety is welcome to take part.
The rodeo will take place at the Polar Centre, 6-8 p.m. Helmets are mandatory.
In previous years, participants took part in an obstacle course designed to challenge them on their safety skills and biking abilities.
Officers confirmed this year’s event will be just as challenging, but also a lot of fun.
