Daniel’s Har­bour gets $20,000 from Canada 150


The Daniel’s Har­bour Come Home Year Com­mit­tee got a big boost re­cently with fund­ing from the Canada 150 pro­gram.

The fed­eral govern­ment con­tri­bu­tion of $20,000 will go a long way to­wards help­ing plan for this year’s Come Home Year event.

Or­ga­niz­ers say the money will be a great help with the work that needs to be done to pull off this ma­jor event.

The Daniel’s Har­bour Project is one of many that will take place across the coun­try in 2017 to com­mem­o­rate the 150th an­niver­sary of Con­fed­er­a­tion.

CHY or­ga­niz­ers en­cour­age ev­ery­one to come out for the Come Home Year and help the res­i­dents cel­e­brate the open­ing of their 50-year time cap­sule.
