Residents praise living on Great Northern Peninsula

Northern Pen - - Editorial -

Dear Editor,

We have lived here all our of lifetime. It’s one of the blessed places for anyone to live. It’s quiet, nice scenery. The fishery is one of our main resources, we have a lot of species out there. Plus, more secondary processing can be done right on our shores. We have plants in a lot of places here that would be willing for that to happen, etc. We have a lot of seniors living in these areas in their own homes.

There should be more jobs for people, and we should be looking to them for the future. Plus, second, our big resource is tourism. We have more to be done, more ideas and opinions from the general public. We have more mines on the coast, the day will come when they will be developed.

We would like for road improvements, plus more housing built for the people to live in. Our way of life on the coast is great. We want more young people to come here and stay. The more we all spread our concerns it will all come for the future indeed.

Yours sincerely, Mr. and Mrs. Abraham G. Dredge Black Duck Cove, NL
