CHRIST­MAS MAGIC IS IN THE AIR

Cobourg will glow with more than 130,000 lights as Christ­mas Magic re­turns Nov. 24 from 6:30-9 p.m. Christ­mas mu­sic be­gins to play at 6:30 be­fore Vic­to­ria Hall is lit up. The lighted walk be­gins at 6:45, head­ing down sec­ond street to Ro­tary Har­bourfront Rink and the Es­planade, where Mayor Gil Bro­canier will lead the count­down for the Christ­mas tree light­ing. Vis­i­tors are en­cour­aged to bring a non-per­ish­able food item for the Fare Share Food Bank to re­ceive a can­dle from the Cobourg Po­lice Ser­vice. The walk in­cludes kids's ac­tiv­i­ties such as a visit with Santa and a chil­dren's tent on Sec­ond Street where chil­dren can join the Gin­ger­bread House Fes­ti­val by mak­ing cook­ies. The Christ­mas Mar­ket will be open Nov. 24-26, and the lights will be on un­til Jan. 7, nightly from 6-10 p.m.
