Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter Duo

They say: A collection of long-wearing, weightless “cream-to-powder” highlighter formulas that are designed to work with all skin tones.

We say: This compact highlighting duo features a more subtle shade for light application, as well as a sparkle-infused option that provides a megawatt shine. Our tester was impressed with the colour payoff — a little goes a long way — as well as the easy blend-ability of the pressed powders.

Physicians Formula Hypoallergenic Lipstick

They say: This lipstick is ultra-creamy and with highpigment payoff. The vitamin E and hyaluronic acid deliver the moisture.

We say: This lipstick is part of a special capsule collection to celebrate the company’s 80th anniversary and that seems to be the type of high-glamour, special event where this type of bold, matte coverage would fly. While our tester was impressed with the pigmentation of this product, she reports the formula felt a tad heavy on her lips.

BareMinerals Skinlongevity Vital Power Eye Gel Cream

They say: A lightweight eye cream that boasts a gel texture. Formulated with mineral-rich ingredients such as California poppy and Lempuyang ginger to hydrate and brighten the skin around the eye area.

We say: Our tester massaged a small amount of this gel around the eye area morning and night. Despite having a gel texture, it absorbed well and didn’t leave skin feeling tacky or sticky like some gels do. With consistent use, skin looked hydrated and felt smooth.
