Local youth in need get supplies for back to school

Nor'wester (Springdale) - - EDITORIAL -

Backpacks for Kids 2017 helped 63 local youth return to school with the supplies they needed this year.

Bell provided the backpacks and Copperbelt Pioneers partnered with community groups and local contributors to fill the 63 backpacks. Volunteers distributed them to children in schools from Triton to La Scie.

Along with local personal donations, groups like Springdale Community Development Cooperative, Springdale Lions Club, Prosperity Wealth, Nobles Timbrmart, Green Bay Search and Rescue, Green Bay Rod and Gun Club, and Baie Verte Kinsmen made this project possible again this year.
