I don’t feel trans­gen­der any more. I used to be a woman and at one point iden­ti­fied as one, and am very proud of that. To be told by some politico trans peo­ple that say­ing that un­der­mines my iden­tity as a trans man just makes me feel in­vis­i­ble all over again. I don’t iden­tify with peo­ple who want to fit into bi­nary gen­der norms for the sake of “nor­malcy.” I can be nor­mal and still be a man who used to be a woman.
