Where to find green spaces near King West’s concrete corridor King West is in the middle of the city’s concrete jungle, but the strip’s not without green spaces.

Saint Andrew’s Playground (450 Adelaide West) is a small park with a kids’ playground and an off-leash dog area. It’s the perfect destination for a quick walk during your lunch break, and after a few visits you’ll see that a lot of people in the park are getting to know each other.

Stanley Park ( 76 Walnut) is larger, with more open space and a sizable offleash area for dogs. It also has a basketball court, two tennis courts, a playground, a shuffleboard court and a small outdoor pool.

Though it’s in the heart of King West, Stanley Park remains relatively quiet. It’s a great option for those who don’t want to deal with Trinity Bellwoods’ massive crowds come summer.
