MITSKI

Monday (October 22) at the Danforth Music Hall

NOW Magazine - - TIP SHEET -

Mitski’s NNNNN-rated Be The Cowboy was a big leap forward this summer, and early reports from her every-gig-soldout tour in support of it suggests her live show has taken a similar leap. Similar to St. Vincent, who’s bended her indie rock singer/songwriter approach to incorporate elements of performance art and choreography, Mitski has cast off her guitar in favour of a vulnerable-yetconfident stage presence with deliberate stage movements and lighting. And, like her album’s experimentations with genre and narrative perspective, the set is crammed with short, interconnected songs. Catch her if you can. Doors 7 pm. Sold out. ticketfly.com, rotate.com, soundscapesmusic.com.
