The world's slow­est grow­ing tree is a white cedar, thuja oc­ci­den­talis, found on a cliff­side on On­tario's Ni­a­gara Es­carp­ment. Mea­sured and weighed at reg­u­lar in­ter­vals over a pe­riod of 150 years, the tree has grown to a height of 10.2 cen­time­ters and weighs 17 grams.
