Tree Canada offers grants to plant edible trees
How about a community planting of some fruit or nut bearing trees this spring? Community groups, housing projects, indigenous communities, schools, parks boards (and others) may qualify for grant of up to $4,000 to help plant edible trees as long as they are on publicly accessible sites. Tree Canada has planted more than 10,000 edible trees with the help of more than 100 communities since 2012.
Applications may be found at the tree Canada website at http://treecanada.ca/greening-communities/ community-tree-grants/.
