Over 100 participants rode on motorcycles across the east end from the centre’s home at Beacon Hill Shopping Centre to its satellite office at Sir Wilfrid Laurier Secondary School on Tenth Line Road.

“It was so amazing to see, they just kept coming like ants,” EORC volunteer development coordinator Gayle Downing said in an e-mail to the Orléans Star, noting Ottawa’s other major motorcycle fundraiser, Ride for Dad, had just 15 bikers in its first edition. “We were thrilled beyond belief that it went so well.”
