Rocky Horror rocks Orléans
Upcoming opportunity to see the show live
The famous comedy horror musical by Richard O’brien has found its way to the Nation’s Capital and has been rocking the roof off of the Mayfair Theatre Orléans says programmer, Lee Demarbe.
"The screenings in Orléans have been amazing," he said. "(They’ve been) really well attended and the crowds are blowing the roof off the house. It’s amazing!"
On May 11th the Mayfair will be showing the cult hit musical for the third time. So far, Demarbe says the crowds have been very rowdy and is calling it a must-see. "Most certainly the coolest thing happening in Orléans," he said.
The Mayfair on Bank St. holds the third highest grossing Rocky Horror Picture Show in North America. Big fans will be able to see the innocent couple Brad and Janet mistakenly end up at the castle of Dr. Frank-n-furter live with an all-star cast over a 4 day, 5 show run June 14-17 at the Irving Greenberg Theatre Centre Mainstage, 1233 Wellington Street West (at Holland). The audience-interactive production involves sing-along numbers, favourite dance sequences like the ‘Time Warp,’ and ample opportunities for audience members to shout out planned and unplanned responses to what’s happening on stage.
