Six-unit row housing ablaze
At 8:17 p.m. on May 20, Ottawa Fire Services received a call for smoke coming from the garage of 968 Gosnell Terrace. Upon arrival, crews found a six-unit row housing complex with one garage fully involved. The vehicle inside the garage of 968 Gosnell had caught fire. Crews had the fire knocked down and under control by 8:40 p.m. The fire was contained to the garage but crews had to force entry into the affected unit as well as the unit next door. The damage was caused by smoke in the unit at 968 Gosnell as well as 970 Gosnell. They had a combined amount of damage of approximately $100,000 to contents and $10,000 to the building. Police were also on scene and were tasked with securing the units.
