Fe­male vic­tim in Black­burn Ham­let gets robbed

The Ottawa Po­lice Ser­vice Rob­bery Unit is in­ves­ti­gat­ing a weekend rob­bery of a fe­male vic­tim in Black­burn Ham­let. On Oct. 19, at ap­prox­i­mately 1:00 a.m., a fe­male vic­tim, age 69, ex­ited an OC Transpo bus and be­gan walk­ing along Innes Rd. The vic­tim then felt some­one try­ing to take her bag from be­hind. The vic­tim held onto the bag at which point the sus­pect let go, punched the vic­tim to the head, made a deroga­tory re­mark, and then fled empty handed. A sec­ond sus­pect stood by as this oc­curred. The vic­tim sus­tained mi­nor in­juries that did not re­quire med­i­cal at­ten­tion. The sus­pects were last seen run­ning south­bound on Bed­doe Lane. The sus­pects are de­scribed as fol­lows: #1: Cau­casian male, 18-22 yrs, 135lbs, thin build, shaved head, blonde hair, oval face, pale com­plex­ion, white bomber style jacket, pale blue jeans. #2: Cau­casian male, 18-22 yrs, dark blue jeans.
