The voting is now open for the Orléans Business Excellence Awards, says executive director Jamie Kwong.
After changing the format for the awards, last year, Kwong says quite a few new businesses have joined the ranks with over 270 people nominated.
"We redefined how we organized the categories, which worked really well," said Kwong. Almost 1,000 votes have been cast already, she said. "Clearly this is a very dedicated community the cares about their businesses. We’re close knit so I feel like people know their business owners very well."
Residents can vote from now until Jan. 7 at www.orleanschamber.ca. The event will be held Jan. 30 at the Ottawa Conference and Event Centre, with the theme, this year, being black & white masquerade. (C.K)
