It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2015 BOMA Commercial Space Directory. This publication is not only distributed by the Ottawa Business Journal, but is given to delegates at the Ottawa Real Estate Forum and distributed locally to our City of Ottawa representatives, Provincial MPP’s and Federal MP’s so they can gain some insight into the issues that we face.
In the 2014 Directory we reported how we had reached out to members to determine what they wanted from their Association and in the years to come. This year we will be launching a series of new initiatives that respond to their input.
By the end of 2015 we will have launched a new website, newsletter and bulletin concepts that aim to not only inform our members of the activities of BOMA, but to also bring to our members more news that is important to them. We are partnering with other organizations to bring both local and national stories that have relevance to the Commercial Real Estate industry in Ottawa.
We are also bringing new features to our communication channels, including a job opportunities section on the website, reporting on member movement and much more involvement in Social Media.
Our participation in Social Media will allow us to reach professionals in our industry that may have not yet decided to join BOMA, but it will also target young professionals that may seek to participate in BOMA Education sessions, or networking opportunities.
Our programming will also change in 2016 with the introduction of more themed programs to specific groups within BOMA, as well as a new Breakfast program of topics to complement the popular Lunch Series.
BOMA members in Ottawa are amongst the most participatory of any BOMA Chapter in Canada, and there involvement in BOMA activities continues to be the foundation on which we build our Association.
As always we hope you find the 2015 Directory useful and interesting.
