Chefs Jennifer Warren-Part and Charles Part, the owners of the famed Les Fougères restaurant in Chelsea, Quebec, have a solution – delicious take-home foods that make putting on an impressive spread effortless. Les Fougères has long offered a selection of gourmet goodiesto-go, but they’ve recently ramped up production to include an expanded range of delectable dishes. Just in time for cottage season, they’ve also extended their distribution network, making it easier than ever to take-out and serve a fantastic meal.
How long have you been in the food business?
We have over fifty years of combined professional culinary experience and opened Les Fougères nearly eighteen years ago. We launched our original take-home food shop in 2004 and it’s been a great success for us. We believe that our take-home offerings are representative of the same quality, tasty food that people have always enjoyed at the restaurant.
What is the philosophy behind your take home line?
We consider our foods as gourmet solutions for time constrained epicureans. We rely on local ingredients from trusted suppliers; we are very proud to prepare wholesome, flavourful, nutritionally balanced meals with no additives or chemicals.
How many take home products do you offer?
We offer well over 100 items every day at our recently-expanded store in Chelsea. And we have a number of select retail outlets in Quebec (La Brulerie; La Boite à Grains; La Maison Bisson; Metro Kelly Aylmer; William J Walter; Sol Epicerie Santé and others) that will be carrying 50 of our most popular soups, meat pies, curries, casseroles and condiments. As well, at our store on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, we now offer a special $19.95 take-home multicourse meal that changes each week.
What about special dietary requirements?
Les Fougères’ take-home foods include numerous gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options. Call ahead and we’ll gladly customize a menu for your particular requirements.
