Samp­ford Ad­vi­sors an­nounced that Boris Petkovic has joined the firm as a fi­nan­cial an­a­lyst. Mr. Petkovic comes to the firm from the Sprott School of Busi­ness at Car­leton Univer­sity, where he re­cently re­ceived a bach­e­lor of com­merce with a con­cen­tra­tion in fi­nance.

Car­leton Univer­sity an­nounced the ap­point­ment of Michel Piché as vi­cepres­i­dent of fi­nance and ad­min­is­tra­tion. With more than 18 years of ex­pe­ri­ence as a fi­nance and cor­po­rate ser­vices ex­ec­u­tive, Mr. Piché has served in a va­ri­ety of agen­cies and en­ter­prises, in­clud­ing, most re­cently, the Na­tional Re­search Coun­cil Canada.

Bor­den Lad­ner Ger­vais LLP an­nounced the ap­point­ment of three new as­so­ci­ates to the firm. Garett Schromm will prac­tise in en­vi­ron­men­tal, mu­nic­i­pal, ex­pro­pri­a­tion and reg­u­la­tory law. Éliane Trem­blay joins the firm in com­mer­cial lit­i­ga­tion. Ali­cia Maiuri will be prac­tis­ing in com­mer­cial real es­tate law.

Pron­toForms an­nounced that Gor­don Stein has joined the com­pany as se­nior vice-pres­i­dent of global sales. Mr. Stein is a se­nior sales and mar­ket­ing ex­ec­u­tive with back­ground cen­tred on tech­nol­ogy and mo­bil­ity. His past ex­pe­ri­ence in­cludes time with Ap­ple Canada, Rogers and Dell.

Ly­dia Blanchard, busi­ness de­vel­op­ment sales man­ager for Corn­wall’s Nav Cen­tre, is the 2016 re­cip­i­ent of the Meet­ing Pro­fes­sion­als In­ter­na­tional RISE Award for Young Pro­fes­sional.

The award rec­og­nizes Ms. Blanchard’s past vol­un­teer work on MPI Ot­tawa’s com­mu­nity out­reach com­mit­tee, where she helped raise more than $90,000 to­wards the Ot­tawa Net­work for Ed­u­ca­tion School Break­fast Pro­gram and de­vel­oped a sport tourism events part­ner­ship for the re­gion.
