Sampford Advisors announced that Boris Petkovic has joined the firm as a financial analyst. Mr. Petkovic comes to the firm from the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University, where he recently received a bachelor of commerce with a concentration in finance.
Carleton University announced the appointment of Michel Piché as vicepresident of finance and administration. With more than 18 years of experience as a finance and corporate services executive, Mr. Piché has served in a variety of agencies and enterprises, including, most recently, the National Research Council Canada.
Borden Ladner Gervais LLP announced the appointment of three new associates to the firm. Garett Schromm will practise in environmental, municipal, expropriation and regulatory law. Éliane Tremblay joins the firm in commercial litigation. Alicia Maiuri will be practising in commercial real estate law.
ProntoForms announced that Gordon Stein has joined the company as senior vice-president of global sales. Mr. Stein is a senior sales and marketing executive with background centred on technology and mobility. His past experience includes time with Apple Canada, Rogers and Dell.
Lydia Blanchard, business development sales manager for Cornwall’s Nav Centre, is the 2016 recipient of the Meeting Professionals International RISE Award for Young Professional.
The award recognizes Ms. Blanchard’s past volunteer work on MPI Ottawa’s community outreach committee, where she helped raise more than $90,000 towards the Ottawa Network for Education School Breakfast Program and developed a sport tourism events partnership for the region.
