The Ray TV’s first gay superhero

The producer of TV superhero series The Flash, Arrow and Supergirl is working on a DC Comics show that will feature a gay lead character. Greg Berlanti will produce an animated series about freedom fighter The Ray, who has light-based powers, says A.V. Club. This version of The Ray will be the first gay superhero to lead a TV series. The show is scheduled to debut in 2017.
