Where does this argument end?

Ottawa gets millions of dollars a year from Rideau Carleton Raceway and that amount will no doubt grow with the racetrack’s expansion. How is the world a better place if the good causes in this city that benefit from that money see it cut off because Tyler Dawson would rather there not be “moral taint” to government revenue?

Where does this argument end? Should we stop taxing oil companies, relieve coal mining companies from paying royalties, or forgo collecting income taxes from people whose profession­s involve “moral taint”?

Perhaps MPs, senators and lobbyists should be relieved of income tax, too — just to ensure no “moral taint” to the pool of money that runs government in Canada? Ted McDonald, Greely
