67’s snag goal­tender from Barrie

The Ottawa 67’s are bank­ing on ad­di­tional ex­pe­ri­ence in net, ac­quir­ing over­age net­min­der Olivier Trem­blay from the Barrie Colts Friday for a 10th-round draft pick next year.

Trem­blay is a vet­eran of the QMJHL, hav­ing posted a ca­reer record of 53-42 with Ri­mouski, Vic­to­ri­av­ille and Rouyn-No­randa. He had a com­bined 18-13 record with a 2.88 goal­sagainst av­er­age and .894 save per­cent­age with Vic­to­ri­av­ille and Rouyn-No­randa last sea­son.

“Olivier Trem­blay is an ex­pe­ri­enced ma­jor ju­nior goalie that we are pleased to add to our ex­ist­ing group of goal­tenders,” 67’s gen­eral man­ager James Boyd said in a state­ment.

The 67’s open their sea­son in Barrie on Sept. 21. Ken War­ren
