67’s snag goaltender from Barrie
The Ottawa 67’s are banking on additional experience in net, acquiring overage netminder Olivier Tremblay from the Barrie Colts Friday for a 10th-round draft pick next year.
Tremblay is a veteran of the QMJHL, having posted a career record of 53-42 with Rimouski, Victoriaville and Rouyn-Noranda. He had a combined 18-13 record with a 2.88 goalsagainst average and .894 save percentage with Victoriaville and Rouyn-Noranda last season.
“Olivier Tremblay is an experienced major junior goalie that we are pleased to add to our existing group of goaltenders,” 67’s general manager James Boyd said in a statement.
