Witnesses sought in fatal accident

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was struck by a dump truck and died Tuesday. The 63-year-old woman was badly hurt when she was struck by the commercial truck at the intersection of Cedar Creek and Findlay Creek drives at about 1:20 p.m. Monday. Paramedics said she suffered life-threatening injuries to her legs, pelvis and chest. She died Tuesday morning, police said. Collision investigators are seeking witnesses, some of whom spoke to police at the scene but didn’t complete a statement.
