Man shot, charged in shooting
Police investigating a daylight shooting in the Overbrook district Thursday have laid a string of firearms charges against a 24-year-old man who turned up at hospital with gunshot wounds. His injuries aren’t considered life-threatening. Patrol officers were called to Queen Mary Street near Overbrook Park at about 4 p.m. by reports of a shooting. Nearby, they arrested one man who remained in police custody for “investigative purposes” as of Friday.
