Ottawa Pop Up Weddings
Many couples have had to sadly cancel plans for their summer 2020 wedding. To help, Carole Saad and her team at Chic + Swell Event Designers are launching Ottawa Pop Up Weddings this week.
Chic + Swell is a professional event design team that has shifted their business since the pandemic caused countless events to be cancelled. Saad, also the vice-president of events at 50 Sussex, saw the lovely event space overlooking the Ottawa River sitting empty. She decided that when Ontario announces Stage 3 of the province’s opening, it will be time to get intimate events happening. Her plan is to host pop-up magazine-style weddings at 50 Sussex, with additional venues to be announced soon.
Saad has teamed up with local companies that will cover everything needed to create a stunning wedding event, for one package price. The team plans to stage the venue with a new theme each week. Their website, where couples will soon be able to book online, is
