INSIDE THE GAME
It’s not like the Redblacks have stunk. They’ve lost five games by a total margin of 13 points. The Eskimos have been the reverse of that. At 6-0, Edmonton isn’t crushing anyone, but finds a way to win. Each of Ottawa’s games has been settled by five points or less ... Edmonton has won 5-of-7 games lifetime versus the Redblacks, but its 23-21 win last month snapped a two-game Ottawa win streak. Edmonton overcame a nine-point deficit with a 20-0 run, getting 10 points off two Ottawa turnovers ... Five of the past six meetings have come down the final three minutes ... The Eskimos will start a guy, LaDarius Perkins, who may have been their fourth-string running back. Hard to argue with the results, though. He put up 105 yards on 19 carries against Hamilton last week ... With William Powell out, Ottawa has Mossis Madu Jr. at running back. Madu Jr. has 134 yards on 29 carries ... For ratio purposes, the Eskimos will go with three starting Canadian receivers — Cory Watson, Chris Getzlaf and Shamawd Chambers.
