The Acadian Peninsula is surrounded by water, with Chaleur Bay on one side and the Gulf of Saint Lawrence on the other.

French settlers explored this land in the early 1600s, led by Samuel de Champlain and others. Their descendants—the Acadians—still call this area home.

Not a cyclist? Take a drive along the scenic routes of the Acadian coast and immerse yourself in the vibrant communities and rich cultural scene.

Museums, historic sites and living-history villages bring the Acadians’ remarkable 400-year-history to life.
