New website unveiled
The City of Orillia has a spiffy new website. Visitors to the website noticed a fresh look as early as Thursday afternoon, as the site went live. The city promises the new site provides users with better navigation and search capabilities, and is easily viewed on all devices. “Providing convenient, online resources to residents, property owners and visitors is part of our commitment to providing excellent customer service,” said Mayor Steve Clarke in a news release. “We recognize a large portion of visitors to our site are using a smart phone or tablet. With these improvements, every feature is now available to users, no matter what the platform.” City staff worked with eSolutionsGroup of Waterloo to design the new website based on analytics and industry best practices. In the near future, the city will be introducing My City Accounts, a new tool to manage tax and utility accounts. Using My City Accounts, residents and property owners will have the ability to view their balances or pay their bill online from the city’s website.
