New web­site un­veiled

The City of Oril­lia has a spiffy new web­site. Vis­i­tors to the web­site no­ticed a fresh look as early as Thurs­day af­ter­noon, as the site went live. The city prom­ises the new site pro­vides users with bet­ter nav­i­ga­tion and search ca­pa­bil­i­ties, and is eas­ily viewed on all de­vices. “Pro­vid­ing con­ve­nient, on­line re­sources to res­i­dents, prop­erty own­ers and vis­i­tors is part of our com­mit­ment to pro­vid­ing ex­cel­lent cus­tomer ser­vice,” said Mayor Steve Clarke in a news re­lease. “We rec­og­nize a large por­tion of vis­i­tors to our site are us­ing a smart phone or tablet. With these im­prove­ments, ev­ery fea­ture is now avail­able to users, no mat­ter what the plat­form.” City staff worked with eSo­lu­tion­sGroup of Water­loo to de­sign the new web­site based on an­a­lyt­ics and in­dus­try best prac­tices. In the near fu­ture, the city will be in­tro­duc­ing My City Ac­counts, a new tool to man­age tax and util­ity ac­counts. Us­ing My City Ac­counts, res­i­dents and prop­erty own­ers will have the abil­ity to view their bal­ances or pay their bill on­line from the city’s web­site.
