Steph Roorda landed on the podium in the women's Om­nium at the Track Cycling Chal­lenge held on Dec. 2-3 at the Velo­drome Suisse in Grenchen, Switzer­land. Roorda fin­ished with 138 points, three points be­hind El­lie Dick­in­son (GBR) in sec­ond and 21 points be­hind win­ner Emily Nel­son (GBR). Roorda kicked off the Om­nium in sixth place af­ter the Scratch race. She then won the tempo race, and fol­lowed up this per­for­mance with a third-place fin­ish in the Elim­i­na­tion race. At the con­clu­sion of the fi­nal event of the Om­nium, the Points race, Roorda was a mem­ber of a four-way tie, each rider with 20 points. Roorda's strong third-place fin­ish re­sulted in her tak­ing third in the Om­nium over­all.

Roorda was a mem­ber of a five-rider Cana­dian con­tin­gent at the Track Cycling Chal­lenge, in­clud­ing Ai­dan Caves, Adam Jamieson, Bay­ley Simp­son and Derek Gee.
