Penticton was named this week to a list of the top-20 beer towns in Canada.

Compiled by travel website Expedia, finalists were selected based on three criteria: the number of breweries, brew pubs and taps in town; the number of awards won by brewers; and overall creative spirit. Penticton did well in all three categories. “There’s a reason craft beer in British Columbia is famous, and Penticton nails it: Festivals, award-winning breweries, and entrepreneurial spirit,” Expedia said in an online article.
