Run or­ga­niz­ers thank com­mu­nity

Dear Editor: The or­ga­niz­ers of the Mighty Quail Trail 100K ul­tra run­ning race would like to thank the vol­un­teers and lo­cal spon­sors (Bad Tat­too, Ea­gle Homes, Na­ture’s Fare Mar­kets, Podium Im­ports, True Out­doors, Peach City Run­ners and SunRype) for con­tribut­ing to the suc­cess of the in­au­gu­ral event which took place on Sept. 30 and saw 48 par­tic­i­pants from across Canada and sev­eral U.S. states take part.

We also ap­pre­ci­ate the sup­port of the City of Pen­tic­ton, Pen­tic­ton Yacht Club, Travel Pen­tic­ton, Prov­ince of B.C. and nu­mer­ous pri­vate landown­ers for mak­ing this event pos­si­ble.

It was a won­der­ful day out on the trails and more than $2,000 was raised for Pen­tic­ton Search and Res­cue.
