Penticton author Yasmin John-Thorpe has penned her long-awaited second romance, novel “Always,” which the author will be on hand to autograph at Coles Book Store in the CherryLane Shopping Centre on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

After penning multiple books for children, JohnThorpe’s first romance, “Forever,” was launched at the Penticton Herald offices in 2012. The author believed it would be her one and only romance.

However requests for a followup romance, featuring one or more of the characters in the first romance, caught John-Thorpe by surprise. Researching the storyline for “Always” has taken time but it has given the author an insight into the Pacific Coastal Pilots of British Columbia, as well as knowledge of sea-going yachts. “Always” features one of the characters from “Forever,” who will get her own love story in a third book, “Bewitched,” which John-Thorpe has developed and is already busy writing.
