Medicine Hat Ex­hi­bi­tion & Stam­pede hon­oured at the WPCA Awards Gala

The Medicine Hat Ex­hi­bi­tion & Stam­pede is thrilled to be the re­cip­i­ent of a vol­un­teer com­mit­tee award.

On Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 13 at the Grey Ea­gle Re­sort & Casino, gath­ered amongst many fa­mil­iar and friendly faces, Justin Derzaph, Chuck­wagon Com­mit­tee chair, ac­cepted an award for the WPCA Top Race Com­mit­tee Award.

The 38th an­nual awards gala cel­e­brated all who achieved great­ness the past rac­ing sea­son.

The event, hosted by track an­nouncer Les McIn­tyre was a huge suc­cess and goes to show the power of col­lab­o­ra­tion be­tween the WPCA and the Medicine Hat Ex­hi­bi­tion & Stam­pede.

The Medicine Hat Ex­hi­bi­tion & Stam­pede has hosted the WPCA Chuck­wagon Races on the Stam­pede grounds for many years.

Many im­prove­ments have taken place over the years, such as ex­ten­sive track ren­o­va­tions, tick­et­ing sys­tem up­dates, school tours through the Chuck­wagon driver’s barns and more, it is re­ward­ing and the ad­min­is­tra­tion mem­bers are hon­oured to re­ceive this ac­co­lade.

Ex­hi­bi­tion & Stam­pede is the largest agri­cul­ture so­ci­ety in South Eastern Al­berta. Each year, it is es­ti­mated that their eco­nomic ac­tiv­ity brings over $5 mil­lion to our lo­cal econ­omy.
