Golf­ing ‘fore’ a cure

Out of 125 Golf Fore the Cure events held across Canada in the sum­mer of 2017, Elk Ridge Re­sort Golf Fore the Cure, held on July 6th, raised just over $23, 000, the sec­ond high­est amount in Canada for the 2nd con­sec­u­tive year. Be­cause of this achieve­ment, Donna Dutchak and her team will be sent by Golf fore the Cure Na­tional, all ex­penses paid, to the Golf Fore the Cure Na­tion­als on Septem­ber 26th at the Brant­ford Golf and Coun­try Club in Brant­ford On­tario. The Dutchak team was the top fundrais­ing team at this event, rais­ing over $5,000.

Golf fore the Cure, pre­sented by Subaru, was cre­ated by Golf Canada to pro­mote women’s par­tic­i­pa­tion in the game of golf. By part­ner­ing with the Cana­dian Can­cer So­ci­ety and the Que­bec Breast Can­cer Foun­da­tion, aware­ness and fundrais­ing com­po­nents have been added to sup­port the fight against breast can­cer. The com­mit­tee for Elk Ridge Golf fore the Cure have cho­sen to do­nate their funds to sup­port breast can­cer pro­grams in Saskatchewan.

This event will again be held on July 5th, 2018 at Elk Ridge. Watch for more de­tails. “One round can make a dif­fer­ence.”
