Golfing ‘fore’ a cure
Out of 125 Golf Fore the Cure events held across Canada in the summer of 2017, Elk Ridge Resort Golf Fore the Cure, held on July 6th, raised just over $23, 000, the second highest amount in Canada for the 2nd consecutive year. Because of this achievement, Donna Dutchak and her team will be sent by Golf fore the Cure National, all expenses paid, to the Golf Fore the Cure Nationals on September 26th at the Brantford Golf and Country Club in Brantford Ontario. The Dutchak team was the top fundraising team at this event, raising over $5,000.
Golf fore the Cure, presented by Subaru, was created by Golf Canada to promote women’s participation in the game of golf. By partnering with the Canadian Cancer Society and the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation, awareness and fundraising components have been added to support the fight against breast cancer. The committee for Elk Ridge Golf fore the Cure have chosen to donate their funds to support breast cancer programs in Saskatchewan.
This event will again be held on July 5th, 2018 at Elk Ridge. Watch for more details. “One round can make a difference.”
