I’m a nun at a nursing home in Havana. I remember visiting my grandpa Victor who enjoyed reading Selecciones from the ‘40s and ‘50s. I spent unforgettable moments reading those pages. In Cuba we never saw it again after 1959. Now we are seeing some recent issues that people have brought back from abroad. Recently, I searched Wikipedia and found that Selecciones was first published in Spanish in Havana in the early ‘40s. I felt so proud and awed. My wish is that some day we Cubans can again read it. SISTER Mª CRISTINA, Cuba
