Comedy legend rolls into Toronto

Richmond Hill Post - - ARTS -

When the November rains turn to snow, city residents clamour for a little comedic cheer. And who could deliver better than one of the planet’s top standups, Chris Rock. Yes, he’s an actor, filmmaker, director and much more, but first and foremost this man can tell a joke, having slowly risen through the comedy ranks since he first surfaced on the scene more than three decades ago. He broke through to become an international star after appearing on

Saturday Night Live alongside Chris Farley, Adam Sandler and David Spade. Soon, there were film and TV roles, and Rock solidified his spot as one of the finest comedians of his generation. Rock appears at the Air Canada Centre as part of his Total Blackout Tour on Nov. 11.
