Pedi­greed chef opens new resto

De­spite Novem­ber be­ing as drab as they come, the heav­ens have aligned, and the food gods are look­ing upon us. Terre Rouge has just whipped open its doors at 162 En­ter­prise Blvd. close to High­way 7 and War­den Av­enue. Ex­ec­u­tive chef For­rest Liu brings plenty of ex­pe­ri­ence into the kitchen, hav­ing started in Shang­hai un­der Miche­lin star chef Jean Ge­orges Von­gerichten as a young­ster be­fore fi­ness­ing his tech­nique at the likes of Ca­noe, Lee and One. Here, chef spins out French-in­flu­enced fare such as miso-glazed black cod with risotto and duck con­fit with charred corn. Dessert means peanut but­ter ba­nana cake with milk foam and rasp­berry petals for good mea­sure. And with seats for 90 spread over two floors, fret not — there’s plenty of room for ev­ery­one.
