ANYTHING BUT ORDINARY
Dutch fashion designer Iris van Herpen is leading the movement of 3D printed clothes. Celebrities like Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, and Björk have all worn the designer’s original out-of-this-world creations, which are often sewn together from the most unorthodox of mediums, including magnets and synthetic boat rigging. This winter, 45 of her innovative designs will travel to North America for a tour across the continent, starting in Atlanta, Georgia. Iris van Herpen: Transforming Fashion runs November 7, 2015–May 15, 2016 at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta.
