Lo­cal 4-Hers shine at dis­trict com­pe­ti­tion

he East­ern Dis­trict held their 4-H com­mu­ni­ca­tions com­pe­ti­tion on March 24 in Sal­is­bury.

The judges for the day were He­len Clark, Mary Dykstra, Melda Dryer, Hugh O’neil and Stu­art West.

The Chignecto 4-H mem­bers who par­tic­i­pated were:

- Clover­bud Speech Ni­cole Carter (2);

- Ju­nior Speech - Shane Legere (1);

- In­ter­me­di­ate Speech -

The first place mem­bers will speak or demon­strate in Na­pan, NB on April 28. Con­grat­u­la­tions to all the 4-H par­tic­i­pants.

Choir Can­tata per­formed by Voices United Com­mu­nity Choir will be held on Sun­day, April 1 at 7 p.m. at Trin­ity United Church in Port El­gin, N.B.

There will be a free will of­fer­ing in sup­port of Ro­tary Club Easter Seal Cam­paign to

Happy Birth­day wishes go out to Net­tie Wells and Erma Wil­son on April 7. A Com­mu­nity Cof­fee Corner will take place on Fri­day, March 30 at 9:30 at St Mark’s Hall. Ev­ery­one is in­vited to join us for some time of re­fresh­ments and fun.

The ser­vice at St. Mark’s on Sun­day, April 1, at 7 pm will be a ser­vice of Holy Com­mu­nion. Ev­ery­one is in­vited to join us.
