SACKVILLE, N.B. – Sackville’s vis­i­tor in­for­ma­tion cen­tre will be get­ting a bit

of a makeover this year.

Town coun­cil ap­proved the con­tract for the re­paint­ing of the VIC, a project iden­ti­fied as a pri­or­ity for the tourism depart­ment for 2017. Com­ing in at a cost of $6,785, the work done by Windy Marsh Paint­ing and Tap­ing Inc. will also in­clude a “few mi­nor re­pairs” to re­place rot­ting

wood on the build­ing.

Tourism man­ager Ron Kelly-spurles said five lo­cal com­pa­nies were con­tacted for quotes to do this work, with two bids re­ceived by the dead­line and the low­est quote com­ing in well within the bud­get. Tri­bune-post Staff
