El­iz­a­beth I. M. “El­iza” Leblanc

It is with sad­ness we an­nounce the peace­ful pass­ing of El­iz­a­beth I. M. “El­iza” Leblanc, age 90, of Sackville, NB. El­iza passed away on Tues­day, Oc­to­ber 23, 2018 at the Sackville Me­mo­rial Hos­pi­tal, sur­rounded by lov­ing fam­ily.

Born in Mid­dle Sackville, NB, El­iza was a daugh­ter of the late Thad­die and El­iz­a­beth (Leger) Richard.

El­iza was a re­tired cus­to­dian from Mount Al­li­son Univer­sity af­ter 30 years of ser­vice, later help­ing her hus­band Ed­mund with the Sackville Bowl­ing Al­ley. She was an avid sports fan; and a great sup­porter of lo­cal sports and in par­tic­u­lar, any games that in­volved her grand­chil­dren.

She was a mem­ber of St. Vin­cent’s Ro­man Catholic Church in Sackville.

El­iza will be sadly missed by son Gary (Char­lotte), Sackville; daugh­ters, Dianne (Bob) Car­son, of Sackville, and Denise (Vic­tor

Sears) Leblanc, of St. Paul, NB; four grand­chil­dren, Mike (Amie) Car­son, An­gela (Lee) Og­den, Peter Leblanc and Nathan (Megan Landry) Leblanc; eight great-grand­chil­dren, Michaela, Davida, Au­tumn, Kaylee, Am­ber, Hunter, Glo­ria and Parker; as well as many nieces and neph­ews.

She was pre­de­ceased by her hus­band Ed­mund; daugh­ter Glo­ria in 1974; sis­ters Anna Burke, Evan­ge­line Ison, Laura Nap­per, Eva Bourque, broth­ers Robert and An­drew.

Ar­range­ments have been en­trusted to Jones Fu­neral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (506-3641300) where vis­it­ing hours were held on Thurs­day, Oct. 25, from 7 to 9 pm with Fu­neral Mass at St. Vin­cent’s Ro­man Catholic Church, Sackville on Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 26, 2018 at 11 am. Burial fol­lowed in Holy Rosary Ceme­tery, Mid­dle Sackville, NB.
