Oul­ton, Charles Robert ‘Bob’ 1919-2018

The death of Charles Robert Oul­ton, 98, of Port El­gin, oc­curred at the West­ford Nurs­ing Home, on Sun­day, Novem­ber 4, 2018. Born, De­cem­ber 31, 1919, Bob was a son of the late Charles and Marie (Blacklock) Oul­ton.

Bob had been a vet­eran dur­ing the Sec­ond World War, and sub­se­quently sold in­surance for twenty-two years. In ad­di­tion, he was a Sil­ver Fox breeder and prom­i­nent stan­dard­bred rac­ing horse trainer through­out his life­time. His pas­sions in­cluded rac­ing horses and watch­ing hockey

games, in par­tic­u­lar, the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Bob will be sadly missed by

3 sons, Terry (Gail), Port El­gin,

John (Linda), Baie Verte and Michael (Jean­nie) Na­pa­nee, ON; a daugh­ter, Erin (Keith) Fair­weather, Port El­gin, ON, and fourty-six grand­chil­dren, great grand­chil­dren, and great great grand­chil­dren.

Be­sides his par­ents, he was pre­de­ceased by his wife Lucy; a daugh­ter, Sharon; grand­daugh­ters, Cindy and Lisa, and by sis­ters Doris, Marge, and Lois.

Ar­range­ments are un­der the care and guid­ance of Jones Fu­neral Home. Visitation was held from their Port El­gin lo­ca­tion, 3 W. Main St., Port El­gin (364-1300) on Tues­day, Novem­ber 6, 2018 from 7-9 p.m. A fu­neral ser­vice will be held at the Trin­ity United Church, Port El­gin, Wed­nes­day, Novem­ber 7, 2018 at 2 p.m. with in­ter­ment to fol­low in the Fern­wood Ceme­tery.

Do­na­tions in mem­ory of Bob may be made to the Trin­ity United Church, Port El­gin.
