Fury, Win­ston Wal­ter 1942-2018

It is with great sad­ness that we an­nounce the pass­ing of Win­ston Wal­ter Fury, 76, of Mount What­ley, NB at the Monc­ton Hos­pi­tal on Tues­day, Oc­to­ber 30, 2018. Born in Point de Bute, Win­ston was a son of the late Win­ston and

Alice (Tin­g­ley) Fury.

Win­ston had worked for Rowe’s Esso for over twenty years. He fin­ished out his ca­reer with twenty-four years with J.D. Irv­ing Wood­lands work­ing in the woods, some­thing he very much en­joyed. Win­ston loved hockey, and de­voted many years to coach­ing. He also en­joyed be­ing out­doors, fish­ing, clam­ming, and be­ing in the gar­den. He will be sadly missed by ev­ery­one.

Win­ston will be dearly missed by his wife of twenty-seven years, Mar­ion (Good­win), Mount What­ley; his chil­dren, Jef­frey (Yvonne) Fury, Ques­nel, BC and Shel­ley (Roy) Billings­ley, Ques­nel, BC, Win­ston (Deb­bie) Fury, Truro, NS; two stepchil­dren, Sonya Fury, Au­lac, NB, and Kirk Fury, Au­lac, NB; twelve grand­chil­dren and sev­eral great grand­chil­dren; broth­ers, Don­ald, Brian (San­dra), and Ken­neth (Sun­day); sis­ters, Doris Jones, Vera-lynn (Mark) Strat­hearn, Heather Ro­bichaud, and Su­san (Duane) Pauley; broth­ers-in­law, Robert Ac­ton, Wen­dell Stiles, Don­ald Coates, Terry Bird; sis­ters-in­law, Donna and Linda Fury, as well as many cousins, nieces, neph­ews and ex­tended fam­ily.

Be­sides his par­ents, he was pre­de­ceased by broth­ers, Ron­ald, Keith, Ge­orge, and David, sis­ters, Alma, Mar­i­lyn, Gail, and Kim­ber­ley, and an in­fant brother, Dou­glas.

Ar­range­ments are un­der the care and guid­ance of Jones Fu­neral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (506-364-1300) from where visitation was held on Fri­day, Novem­ber 2, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A fu­neral ser­vice for Win­ston was held on Satur­day, Novem­ber 3, 2018 at 2 p.m. Burial fol­lowed in the Point de Bute Ceme­tery.
